Biography - Chad Griffin

Biography

Chad Griffin was born in North Carolina and grew up in the desert Southwest. He earned his BFA from the University of Arizona.

Griffin has spent his life as an explorer and artist, periodically leaving for months at a time to mountaineer and travel in as diverse climes as New Zealand, Alaska, North Africa, Patagonia, and the Andes. He has had shows of his artwork, produced several books, been a featured artist in the Point Suite Contemporary Art book, and worked in advertising + design direction.

Currently he is focused on creativity and expressing himself through picture making.

Griffin is equally fluent with technology as he is with the traditional tools of the artist. He believes that modernity and has hit a tipping point and that the revival of the hand of the artist in the work has returned to the dialog.
